We are now looking for a Physical E/E Architecture Power Distribution Engineer!

 

The EE HW Engineering Chapter is one of five competence teams inside the Hardware Engineering Tribe. The overall responsibility of the Tribe is to secure NEVS present and future need for Hardware Competence & Technology, while building a great place to work. The responsibilities of the EE HW Engineering Chapter lies within the areas of Physical Electrical Architecture, EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems), Electronics & Electrical Energy Storage.

Work Tasks

As a Physical E/E Architecture Power Distributions Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining NEVS General Requirements for solid-state technology and Power moding strategy and thus ensuring that NEVS products will meet the standards required by NEVS customers. The role includes actively following development of technologies in this field of competence. You will be monitoring NEVS internal test planning and review test results, you will also be responsible for creating power modes strategies in different automotive architectures. You will use your knowledge and new findings continuously to develop and refine NEVS General Requirements regarding power distributed systems.

You will also:

  • Support concept selection at vehicle architecture, system and component level.
  • Monitor NEVS internal test planning and review test results.
  • Develop new power distributions systems including SSD-technologies, (Solid State Devices) and smart fusing. This includes good understanding of software development.
  • Support Engineers across the NEVS organization in applying Your General Requirements in System and component specifications.
  • Support problem Root-causing and Resolution from a Power moding or power distribution perspective.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of development plans, technical proposals and product offerings.
  • Establish and maintain internal and external networks.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree, (or equivalent experience) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics. 7 years of experience is desired.
  • Application knowledge of electronic design considerations in the automotive domain.
  • Engineering experience with software development for Smart Fusing/SSD control.
  • Experience from hands on Electronics design (PCB, Electronics circuit design, component design & selection) is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable.

Terms

NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
