An important part in the work towards our vision is to provide vehicles which are connected, autonomous, shared and electrified. To achieve this, both the amount and the complexity of the software will increase drastically in coming vehicle architectures. NEVS strategy is to create this type of software in-house.

We are now looking for a Functional Safety Manager to drive an active and structured work within functional safety. As Functional Safety Manager, you will be involved in all phases of our vehicle projects, ensuring that we are compliant to relevant standards.

We work in an agile organisation, where teamwork, empowered self-organising teams and quick learning cycles are keys to success. Thus, you need to be a good team player and continuously strive to make the team successful.

   

The role involves:

  • Drive and coordinate the functional safety related activities for NEVS products
  • Building a functional safety culture in the whole organization
  • Educate the organization in functional safety and ISO-26262
  • Develop safety process and tailor the process for different projects
  • Develop Safety Plans and Safety Cases
  • Contribute in the development of items definitions, HARA, etc.
  • Providing input to best practice design solutions
  • Participating in analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
  • Keep track of trends within the functional safety domain
  • Support and contribute to the overall vehicle safety

      

 We are looking for someone who has:

  • Deep understanding of ISO 26262 and SOTIF
  • Experience of implementing functional safety in an organization
  • Experience from software intense systems in the automotive industry
  • Engineering experience from development of systems with functional safety requirements, minimum 5 years
  • Can take a pragmatic approach to Functional Safety
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
