We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Bodyshop! 

 

Description

The Manufacturing Engineering Press & Body (ME Press/Body) is a part of the Manufacturing Engineering Organization (within Manufacturing).

The overall responsibilities of the ME Press/Body-department is to work together with product design department to prepare the products for quality-, and efficient-manufacturing process and to support the process department with product knowledge.

As Manufacturing Engineer Body Shop, you will analyze the product proposals from a Manufacturability point of view, give feedback to product engineering on items that hinders the product to be efficient to Manufacture. You will also identify impact process equipment.

The work is done as a teamwork with Product Engineering, within the ME group and with the process engineering group/manufacturing.

You need to be a good team player and continuously strive to make the team successful and continuously strive to improve your experience and knowledge.

Cooperation with NEVS partners might involve travel abroad.

The role involves:

  • Feasibility investigation of new body assemblies regarding manufacturability including feed-back to product design, to secure that parts are feasible in NEVS body-shops.
  • Process planning of assemblies (from minor to new lines).
  • Investigate changes/impact of body assembly equipment already at NEVS:
    • Feasibility investigations i.e. is the proposed change possible with regard to current equipment.
    • Impact and cost analyze.
    • Input to planning for rebuild.
  • Fixture design of decided product and process changes including update of documentation.
  • Make simulations of robot reach/access with NX/Process Simulate.
  • Develop and improve Body Shop specific standards and procedures.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Well Educated in Automation design mainly mechanical, min 5 years.
  • Has experience from automotive industry, min. 5 years
  • Experience in Cad modelling/Drawings (Experience with Siemens NX & Teamcenter, is a merit).
  • Experience from robotic simulation programs/Experience from working with robots.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish/English, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Driver license B.

Terms

 NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
