We are now looking for Software Developers for Thermal and Climate control.

 

Description

You will be part of the Chapter Controls Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, which is one of five competence areas within the Software Tribe. Our focus is to develop embedded vehicle software solutions for vehicle motion control, thermal and climate control, comfort control, battery management control, and self-driving capabilities. We are also supporting this development with data analytics and strategies for data management.

We are now looking for innovative software developers who wants to contribute to the ongoing software development and create the best climate control system found in any vehicle.

This software integrates the control of the compartment climate with the cooling of both the battery and the powertrain system. Previous experience from development of thermal software is desired while development (C/C++) experience from embedded vehicle applications is required. This software will be used in both our future pods, used for mobility services, and in our future driven vehicles. Since all our vehicles will be electric it is essential that you have a good understanding of how the thermal system affects the energy balance in the vehicle.

You will join an agile organisation, where team work, empowered self-organising teams and quick learning cycles is a key to success. Thus you need to be a good team player and continuously strive to make the team successful. 

The role involves:

  • Embedded software development and testing, C/C++
  • Controls development
  • Working with different vehicle data protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc)
  • Continuous Integration
  • Test Automation
  • Requirements identification and analysis
  • Maintaining and developing development environments
  • Collaboration with NEVS engineers at different departments and locations

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree
  • Coding skills
  • Previous experience from embedded software development
  • Experience from Model Based Development
  • Ability to share her or his expertise to colleagues
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
