We are now looking for an OS/MW Engineer.

 

Description

An important part in the work towards that vision is to provide vehicles that are connected, autonomous, shared and electrified. To support this, the software in the vehicles is a crucial component. Both the amount and the complexity of the software will increase drastically in coming vehicle architectures. NEVS strategy is to create a lot of this software in-house.

We are now looking for an OS/MW Engineer who can be our expert in the layers between the application software and the hardware. This includes hypervisors, operating systems, AutoSAR classic and adaptive. In this role you will set up general guidelines and support the different development teams in selecting and configuring these components to best support the given application.

We work in an agile organisation, where team work, empowered self-organising teams and quick learning cycles is a key to success. Thus you need to be a good team player and continuously strive to make the team successful.

The role as OS/MW Engineer involves:

  • Defining architectural requirements on Operating Systems and Middleware
  • Creating and maintaining guidelines for selection and configuration of Operating Systems
  • Creating and maintaining guidelines for selection and configuration of Middleware including AutoSAR Classic and AutoSAR Adaptive
  • Supporting design and implementation work of in-house developed ECUs
  • Supporting discussions with suppliers of purchased ECUs
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ways-of-working for related processes

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience from electronics and software development in the automotive industry
  • Experience from selection and configuration of operating systems for vehicle systems
  • Knowledge in AutoSAR standards and applications
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
  • Experience from agile ways-of-working is an advantage

  • Have good communication skills
  • Adaptability in the interaction with different persons, groups and culture.

Terms

 NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
