We are now looking for a Specialist EV Energy Systems

Description

The position is within our Department for Vehicle Solutions. The overall responsibility of the group is to secure NEVS present and future need for EE Hardware Competence & Technology, while building a great place to work. The responsibilities of the group lie within the areas of Energy Systems, were aim is to develop Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage, Charging and Electrical Energy Conversion solutions that support our vision to shape mobility for a more sustainable future including autonomous, driverless vehicles.

We work in a lean, agile organization where people with certain competences are either members of squads (smaller teams), and/or act in a supporting role to these squads. To be successful you need to have an open mind, be solution oriented, a team player and able to adapt to change.  

You will be a part of the multidisciplinary and multicultural “Energy Systems team” within the E/E HW group at NEVS.


The role involves:

  • Develop and maintain technical roadmap for the Energy area, including leading development of novel technical solutions.
  • Taking active part in NEVS cooperation with Universities, research-institutes, and other external partners
  • Speaking on behalf of the Energy Chapter in various forums, such as Vehicle Integration, RFI/RFQ discussions etc.
  • Building fruitful cooperation with other organizational entities (both within and outside NEVS).
  • Being a Mentor/support to your colleagues in their development.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5-10 years’ experience from developing complex Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage systems including Battery Cell technology, Power Electronics, High Voltage vehicle concepts.
  • Experience in managing EE attribute requirements e.g. Energy management
  • Ability to share her or his expertise to colleagues.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Master of Science or higher degree within in Power Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.


We prefer that you have knowledge within:

  • ISO 26262 or similar safety standards.
  • Knowledge in Battery Cell Technologies, Battery Management Systems for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
  • Knowledge in Charging technologies & DC/DC conversion for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
