We are now looking for an Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) – WH System Engineer

Description

The position is within our Department for Vehicle Solutions. The overall responsibility of the group is to secure NEVS present and future need for EE Hardware Competence & Technology, while building a great place to work. The responsibilities of the group lie within the areas of wiring harness (Low and High voltage) and power distribution unit.

We work in a lean, agile organization where people with certain competences are either members of squads (smaller teams), and/or act in a supporting role to these squads. To be successful you need to have an open mind, be solution oriented, a team player and able to adapt to change.

You will be a part of the multidisciplinary and multicultural “Electrical Distribution Systems team” within the E/E HW department at NEVS.

The role involves:

As an Electrical Distribution System (EDS) WH System Engineer, you will be working with EDS development, from first sketch until production of wiring harness according to program/project request. The role includes understanding vehicle technical requirements into EDS development, manufacturing and validation on sub-system/components.

You will also:

  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining NEVS General Requirements for EDS-area, to meet the standards required by NEVS customers.
  • Support engineers across the NEVS organization in applying your General Requirements in system and component specifications. The requirements are collected into interface control document (ICD).
  • Perform harness design and calculations to find the optimized solutions including power distribution unit (PDU).
  • Support problem root-causing and resolution from an EDS perspective including hands-on work.
  • Support concept selection at vehicle architecture, system and component level.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5-years of experience working with EDS design engineering experience, concerning Low & high voltage.
  • Master’s degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking and contributes to new ideas and execution.
  • Good communication skills and who enjoys working in teams in a dynamic environment.
