We are now looking for an Electrical Distribution System (EDS) WH Engineer!

The EE HW Engineering Chapter is one of five competence teams inside the Hardware Engineering Tribe. The overall responsibility of the Tribe is to secure NEVS present and future need for Hardware Competence & Technology, while building a great place to work. The responsibilities of the EE HW Engineering Chapter lies within the areas of Physical Electrical Architecture, EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems), Electronics & Electrical Energy Storage.

Work Tasks

As an Electrical Distribution System (EDS) WH Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining NEVS General Requirements for EDS-area and thus ensuring that NEVS products will meet the standards required by NEVS customers. The role includes turning vehicle technical requirements that engineering needs to design, develop and validate a sub-system/component. The role includes actively following development of standards globally. You will be responsible for aligning the development rules and guidelines according to the maturity of the technical progress within your field of work. You will be monitoring NEVS internal test planning and review test results. You will use your knowledge and new findings continuously to develop and refine NEVS Requirements regarding EDS.

You will also:

• Support concept selection at vehicle architecture, system and component level.
• Be part of EDS-team for develop of EDS, from first sketch until production of wiring harness according to program/project request.
• Support problem Root-causing and Resolution from an EDS perspective.
• Be part of validation and verification activities and support RFQ/RFI´s.
• Evaluate the feasibility of development plans, technical proposals and product offerings.
• Establish and maintain internal and external networks.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• EDS design engineering experience, concerning both low voltage and high voltage, 5 years of experience is desired.
• Experience from requirements definition/creation/collection for EDS within the automotive domain is desired.
• Experience from EDS validation actives is desirable.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable.
