We are now looking for Project leader ME Body.

Description

Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Press and Body Shop group, is responsible for, in cooperation with our other ME departments and product design, to analyze and secure the manufacturability of new and modified body assemblies. The ME department is a part of the Manufacturing organization.

As Project leader Manufacturing Engineering Body Shop, you will lead a workgroup that evaluate new product proposals from a Manufacturability point of view, together with our manufacturing organization identify and minimize the impact, develop and cost estimate the process equipment needed. You will also work together with our colleagues in Paint and General assembly to balance concepts between the areas.

As the ME Body project leader you are also responsible in the time schedule, economy, sourcing and installation of the body shop assembly equipment.

The work is done as a teamwork with Product Engineering, within the ME group and with the process engineering group and manufacturing organization.

Work tasks

  • Plan and lead the work to evaluate the product concepts, work with Body Engineering to align the product solutions with our manufacturing target.
  • Create descriptions of the impact (technical, cost and HC) and report this to plant project-leader and any other person/instance, that need this result.
  • Plan activities for virtual gates, sourcing of body shop equipment, follow up and installation.
  • Our aim is to increase the use of digital twins a general interest and understanding of virtual working methods is necessary.
  • Communicate with colleagues, engineering, manufacturing etc.
  • FMEA – Control plans.

Education and Experience

  • University Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial organization
  • Experience of project leadership.
  • Knowledge in PDM and 3D-Cad system (we use Siemens Teamcenter and NX).
  • Process knowledge in resistance spot-welding, arc welding, and cold mechanical joining methods (SPR/Clinch joining/FDS). ó Joining methods for thin sheet metal panels.
  • GDnT for assemblies and single parts i.e. datum’s and tolerances.
  • Experience from defining Datum points to Document/use for creating a structured assembly process with capability to join metal components with high precision.
  • Overall robot knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Driver’s license B.
