About the position

You will be part of the Body and Closure team which focus is to develop state of the art Body structures and Closure systems for our next generation self-driving vehicles included in the PONS Autonomous Mobility Ecosystem – A smart and proactive fleet offering excellent, on-demand, sustainable mobility services to citizens of the smart cities of the future.

Who are you?

In addition to being a great team player, you have successfully completed at least a Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical engineering. We also believe that you have several years of experience in automotive sealing´ systems.

• At least 8 years’ experience in a senior closure sealing systems position.
• Very good experience of CAD modelling and 3D PMI in NX
• Experience in Teamcenter
• Skills in coaching, leading and inspiring others
• Good communication skill in English (both verbally and written)
• Analytical problem-solving ability
• Self-driven 

You will among other things:

• Drive the development of all sealing systems from concept phase to industrialization and implementation in production by using advance knowledge of sealing functions, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• As attribute owner for Sealing and Water Management, you will contribute to set the general and project specific requirements that meet customer needs over the product-market lifecycle
• Benchmark latest sealing system available in the market
• Develop different sealing system concepts and go through concept selection process
• Create sections and establish interfaces with surrounding system based on chosen concept
• Make detailed design for sealing system with final aim to achieve the requirements on water tightness, dust intrusion, noise level and closing forces on both system and vehicle level
• Consider limitations imposed by regulations, quality, safety, weight and cost
• Be the contact responsible to the sealing supplier
• Work together with manufacturing to ensure that each sealing fulfils assembly requirements
• Support tests to prove out the design and that the function of the sealing systems is fulfilled according to customer expectations
