NEVS, Trollhättan

Shape mobility for a more sustainable future!

NEVS is creating a strong foundation of skills for new technologies and innovations. We have a committed passion to create and deliver iconic and desirable global products. By challenging conventions, we design premium electric vehicles and mobility experiences that are simple, engaging and distinctive, but that also shape a brighter, cleaner future for all.

We are now looking for an Engineer working with Ergonomics, HVI (Human Vehicle Integration)

  Description

The chapter of Mechanical Architecture and Mechanical Integration, which you would be a part of, is one of five chapters within the Hardware Tribe at NEVS. Our main competences are setting up the Vehicle Mechanical Architectures to fulfill all products in the company portfolio, and balancing the Integration work to fulfill the requirements on vehicle level.

Working with ergonomics, you will be supporting squads (an empowered, self-organizing team, mutually accountable for delivery according to their task) working with any tasks related to HVI. From time to time, you will also be a member of a squad bringing your competence to complete a team of engineers with a specific task.

NEVS still is a Startup Company, with a relatively small, but strong engineering organization. Our experience combined with the possibility to adapt to new trends, and the limited effect of current conventional vehicle products in production hindering our way of thinking about, and designing our future products, plays to our strength.

If you are looking for an opportunity out of the ordinary, and want to join a team who is challenging the traditional way of working, entering the agile way of working – come join us!

  • Perform digital and physical assessments of criteria against styling and engineering proposals.
  • Develop and run focus studies to establish ergonomic compliance.
  • Develop and validate architecture and vehicle technical specifications related to ergonomic and cognitive function.

We are looking for someone who (preferably, but not entirely necessarily) has:

  • University Education Degree or equivalent experience in any of the following: Engineering, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Physiology, Biomechanics, Human Kinetics or closely related field.
  • Experience in any of the following areas:   Ergonomics, Human Factors, Mechanical Integration/Systems Engineering, Technical Writing (writing best practice/requirements documents will be part of the job)
  • CAD modeling tool & PLM system experience and/or familiarity (Preferably NX & Team center.)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
  • Human modeling tool experience and/or familiarity (Preferably RAMSIS)

To be successful in this role, you need to:

  • Believe you can make a difference in our mission to create a more sustainable future.
  • Be open minded for learning new knowledge and sharing own knowledge.
  • Be able to think for yourself and take action when the path ahead is not clear.
  • Have functional and technical skills.
  • Be a team player with ability to build relations.
  • Be able to plan and prioritize.
  • Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded to new technology.
  • Be able to adapt to new challenges, ideas and cultures.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Take responsibility for decisions and deliveries.

We very much encourage female applicants!

Great consideration will be given to your personal aptitude for the position!
