Our passion and strong belief is that the future traffic load within big cities can be drastically reduced by providing services and vehicles which motivates people to share a ride, either with friends or with total strangers. To achieve this we understand that these vehicles will be electrified, connected, autonomous and built for this purpose. This further means that these vehicles will not only be driven on electricity but also on software, and lots of it. NEVS strategy is to create much of this software in-house! YOUR TEAM

As a Data Scientist you will be part of the Chapter Controls Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, which is one of five competence areas within the Software Tribe. Our focus is to develop inhouse software solutions for integrated vehicle motion control and autonomous driving, which will be a vital part of our NEVS mobility ecosystem, and also to provide context to data, data analytics and data management strategies to the development organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are now looking for experienced and innovative data scientist, engineers and/or statisticians that can join our ambition to build a competent data analytics team. A team that can support our development teams in understanding available data using statistics, AI algorithms and visualization. This team is also part of developing our data management strategies to prepare for a world of Autonomous Vehicles and Mobility as a Service.

To summarize you will be involved in the following:

• Algorithm development
• Big data analysis
• Statistical modelling
• Data wrangling
• Statistical simulation
• Data visualization
• Requirement analysis
• Collaboration with NEVS engineers at different departments and locations

WHO YOU ARE:

• A believer of our future products with Master of Science, or higher, degree (or similar university degree)
• A team player with good mathematical and problem-solving skills
• An innovative person with strong understanding of data science and machine learning techniques
• A solution oriented person with technical competence to perform advanced analytics; experience in Python, R or other programming languages and tools used for data analytics and visualization.
  A person with:
• Skills in the use of current state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks
• Experience in working with and creating data architectures.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to share her or his expertise to colleagues and to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
